View from the Loft

The Loft Literary Center’s most recent edition of The View from the Loft has an interview with Zach Marell, our creative director. Illustrator’s might find his thoughts on how he finds new talent particularly interesting. Check it out.

(Yes, I’ve got a piece in it, too.)

nice interview from Zach Marelll. It is interesting to know that some creative directors are "stumbling" upon illustrators in addition to using traditional samples.

This was a terrific article. As an author working with Lerner's design/art department, I can say that I've been beyond pleased with their work.

Zach nailed it when he said that he wants readers to consume the book visually from cover to cover. That comes across so clearly, and I believe that level of care - to font, color, illustrations, binding - enhances each book dramatically.
